Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, this role is responsible for the day to day leadership of our facility in producing and distributing our quality fibreglass swimming pools across Queensland, Northern NSW and to export customers. Your proven manufacturing experience, attention to detail and strong leadership skills will demonstrate your ability to deliver the world's best pools and bring our client's dreams to life.
Your day will involve:
Delivering a safety-first culture
Managing the facility team and their activities
Recruiting and onboarding new employees
Maintaining the quality, effectiveness and efficiency through investigation, analysis and problem solving across the facility
Partnering with the facility manager and national managers to implement safety, quality & cost initiatives across the facility
Building relationships with our franchisees to manage pool deliveries
Maintaining high levels of quality in the pools we supply
Working with the Inventory team to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the site has the resources to produce pools
Work with national team and site team members to develop & implement standardised processes
Manage successful implementation of improvement projects which could span Safety, Process, Quality, People, Cost
Work with the site supervisors and team members to foster a high performing culture, providing coaching and feedback on a daily basis
About you;
5 years' experience in team leadership and management
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication and delegation skills
Personal effectiveness/interaction – Self manages and demonstrates diplomacy when dealing with difficult people or colleagues from diverse cultures
Problem solving skills, demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with a sense of urgency
Coping and time management skills – ability to manage high workload under pressure and time constraints
Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite, and a knowledge Manufacturing Systems Have strong experience with transport and logistics with a successful track record of meeting distribution targets
Have a proven track record of hiring, training and developing a team to deliver results
Experience in fibreglass and lean manufacturing is preferred but not essential
