Trades Assistants: We're looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Assistant to join our team, helping us make Quality steel products for the agricultural industry and supporting farmers all over Australia.
We are looking for people with a good attitude, a willingness to learn, and an interest in practical, physical work. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, from preparing materials to assisting with fabrication and finishing, while learning new skills along the way.
The position will consist of the assembly of silos, components and sheetmetal work for agricultural products.
What You'll Need
* Be reliable and strong work ethic.
* Someone who is organised and productive
* Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions from tradespeople.
* Experience in painting, workshop support, and operating tools – highly regarded.
* Physically fit and comfortable doing manual labour
* Forklift Licence (LF) – Essential (Required or willing to obtain)
* The ability to work within a team environment is essential.
* Experience in manufacturing, steel, or metalwork (preferred)
* Full Australian working rights.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workshop environment.
* Perform general cleaning of work areas, tools, and machinery.
* Support Senior team members with basic hands-on tasks, including:
* Operating grinders, saws, and hand tools
* Drilling and riverting
* Preparation and processing materials before manufacture
* Painting of parts and equipment.
* Operate forklifts - Assist with workshop logistics, material handling.
* Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Successful candidates must be available to work overtime as required during busy periods.
