Owned and run by the Hemmes family for over 60 years, Merivale began as a fashion house that led Sydney into the swinging sixties for all things music and fashion. With a knack for creativity, the “The House of Merivale” injected a new energy into the theatre of Sydney transforming the brand into one of the largest leading hospitality empires in Australia. Remaining true to our heritage, our aim is to bring a little magic into the everyday. We are constantly growing and pushing the boundaries in over 90+ venues to encapsulate a unique and best-in-class experience no matter where you go. Each space is carefully executed with the same attention to detail across a seemingly endless supply of inspired concepts, restaurants, bars, cafes, pubs, nightlife, and retail.
The Venue
Merivale’s iconic Pizzas can be found across multiple venues in the group, from the Northern Beaches at The Collaroy and The Newport to Coogee Pavilion in the East. Our traditional wood-fired pizzas are crafted in true Neapolitan style, just as you’d find in Italy. Our venues are well equipped to pump out pizzas for our guests, using wood-fired ovens, fresh ingredients and hand stretch doughs to make our pizzas a cut above the rest.
The Job
We are looking for different levels of pizza chefs across some of our venues, the positions we have available are:
- Pizza Chefs at different levels - Coogee Pavilion.
- Pizza Chefs at different levels – The Newport.
If you have the following experience, we want to hear from you!
- Proficient working with an electric or wood-fired oven.
- Creating Neapolitan style pizzas from scratch including hand stretching the dough.
- Great communication and a team player.
- Professional with a good attitude and attention to detail.
- Well-presented and comfortable working in an alfresco kitchen.
