About The Role
As an independent contractor, you will primarily be on the road responding to consumer service calls assigned via our Service Allocation Team. Your responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and servicing domestic appliances, and completing job administration on your company-issued device. Occasionally, you will assist other technicians with larger jobs, always maintaining a high level of customer service, and ensuring all equipment is tested and calibrated according to industry standards.
What You'll Do
* Service and repair domestic appliances
* Interact daily with consumers and retailers
* Collaborate closely with the Service Allocations Team & Field Service Manager
* Manage spare parts and van stock to enable first-visit resolution
* Plan routes and sequence jobs efficiently
* Complete service jobs accurately and promptly via company technology
* Follow all work, health & safety requirements
Who You Are
* Hold relevant licenses and certifications to comply with state legislation
* Have a valid Business registration (ABN)
* Maintain current Public Liability Insurance ($10 million)
* Possess Workers Compensation Insurance if applicable
* Availability and flexibility to cover a metropolitan service area
* Experience with laundry, kitchen, or white goods is advantageous
* Strong technical knowledge of appliances for diagnosis and troubleshooting
* Proficient in using tools, equipment, and gauges properly
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Enjoy building rapport with consumers and providing positive experiences
