Administrator – The West Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee Office (WACMRO)
Permanent, Part-time – 18 hours per week.
Work Pattern: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The West Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee Office (WACMRO) is an agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth that seeks to promote the acceptance and settlement of migrants and refugees into Australia. The Administrator ensures the timely completion of daily administration associated with office coordination and assists with the planning, preparation and implementation of the WACMRO initiatives, including events, seminars, short-term projects and assists with public enquiries.
About the role - a snapshot:
* Administrative Support: Handle incoming public onshore and offshore enquiries, emails and provide accurate information.
* Events & Projects: Organise events and assist with projects.
* Supporting the mission of the church: Support the mission of the Archdiocese of Perth and the mandate for the West Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee Office (WACMRO).
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain office supplies, ensuring a well‐equipped and organised work environment.
* Organise and schedule meetings, appointments, events, and travel arrangements.
* Maintain office facilities, equipment and systems.
* Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date records of enquiries, office policies and other relevant documentation.
* Assist in basic financial tasks, such as reconciling credit card statements, processing invoices, tracking expenses, and maintaining financial records.
* Work closely with the Chancery finance team to ensure accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
* Contribute as a team member to ensure the ongoing success of WACMRO initiatives including events and projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse communities, as well as a Certificate III in Office Administration or Business Administration. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive, collaborative team. Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, strong problem‐solving abilities, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information will be required.
A valid National Police Clearance, WA Driver's Licence, and the legal right to work in Australia are required.
