Cyber Security Officer – Secure Defence Governance Role. Join a mission‑critical Defence program supporting the sustainment and governance of deployed ICT capabilities that enable operational effectiveness across the ADF. This opportunity is ideal for a cyber security professional who can provide assurance, drive compliance, support accreditation activities, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen cyber governance across complex deployed environments.
Location & Contract
Location: Canberra, ACT.
Contract Duration: Initial 18‑month contract to 31 December 2027, with 2 x 12‑month extension options.
Security Clearance
Candidates must hold a current NV1 clearance.
Eligibility

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and guide cyber and security activities across deployed ICT capabilities from a governance and assurance perspective.
* Develop and maintain security accreditation documentation and support compliance with legislative, policy, and departmental requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement in cyber security reporting, oversight, and sustainment support across in‑service capabilities.
* Build and maintain relationships with Defence and government cyber security stakeholders on behalf of the program.
Key Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in cyber security governance, assurance, or compliance within complex ICT environments.
* Experience developing and maintaining security accreditation or related security documentation.
* Strong understanding of policy compliance, risk management, and cyber security best practice.
* Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders across Defence or government environments.
