This is an exciting opportunity to lead and support strategic land use planning projects that shape the city's future growth while respecting its natural and cultural heritage values.
About the Role:
* Contribute to strategic land use planning reviews aligned with contemporary capital city growth trends.
* Support project management approaches for significant city-shaping projects.
* Prepare submissions on draft legislation, statutory instruments, and regional land use strategies.
* Provide advice to the public and developers on planning scheme amendment processes.
* Prepare reports and recommendations for elected members and formulate evidence-based submissions to the Tasmanian Planning Commission.
Requirements:
* A degree in Planning or a related discipline, with experience in strategic land use planning and policy review.
* Strong knowledge of planning schemes, legislation, and policy frameworks.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and report writing.
* Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
* A current driver licence and Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
