Based in the role: Full-time (100%), permanent position. Base salary will be in the range $117,120.53 - $138,769.70 plus 17% Superannuation. This is a teaching & research position at the University of Queensland (UQ).
About This Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Lecturer to build and grow their academic profile across teaching, research, and service and engagement. In this role, you will contribute to high-quality teaching, advance your research agenda, and provide academic leadership through coordination or supervision of staff. You will also contribute to the supervision of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, with support to develop an emerging national reputation in your field of research. Key responsibilities will include:
* Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
* Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
* Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
* Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You
Applicants should possess a PhD in a relevant field (Finance, Economics or related field). Additionally, you will demonstrate:
* A growing profile in teaching and research in the discipline area.
* A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
* Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.
* Evidence of a high level of quality teaching at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate level across a variety of settings, including small and large groups.
* Experience in course coordination and contribution to the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the discipline area.
* A growing record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
* Experience in meaningful internal service roles and active contributions to external activities.
