We are seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our team. The role involves working on a variety of carpentry tasks across new projects.
This position is in the precast concrete division, and it plays a crucial role in the production and installation of precast concrete elements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Build, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and alignment to project specifications.
* Read and interpret construction drawings and plans to execute formwork task accurately.
* Operate a variety of power tools such as saws, drills, sanders and grinders.
* Inspect formwork structures to ensure they meet the project's standards and specifications.
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations at all times.
* Assist with the installation of formwork for concrete structures, including walls,
* columns and slabs.
* Clean up all tools and equipment used during construction projects.
* construct square and level projects.
* Measure and cut timber to size in order to create formwork components.
* Take accurate measurements and calculate size and amount of materials needed for project completion.
* Install steel ties and walers, as well as other reinforcing.
Skills & Experience Required
* Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification)
* 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of qualifications
* Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, and construction techniques
* White Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to read plans and work with minimal supervision
* Driver's licence preferred
* Good work ethic and reliability.
