About the role
Reporting to the Head of Design and Pre-Construction Manager, the Design Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering high-quality, coordinated design outcomes across multiple modular projects. You will lead the design development, documentation, planning and approvals process—ensuring projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and ready for manufacture and construction.
Your day to day will include:
* Leading design development and documentation across all project phases to meet programme, budget and buildability requirements
* Managing and coordinating internal design teams, consultants and stakeholders to ensure aligned, high-quality outputs
* Overseeing design programmes, resourcing and delivery timelines across multiple live projects
* Conducting QA reviews and ensuring all documentation is compliant, coordinated and construction-ready
* Acting as the primary client contact for design matters, facilitating clear communication and strong project outcomes
What you'll bring
* A degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Design or a related discipline
* Proven experience leading design documentation and consultant coordination within construction, architecture or modular environments
* Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards and authority approval processes
* High-level technical documentation and coordination skills with a focus on buildability and compliance
* Experience managing design programmes, resources and multi-disciplinary teams across multiple projects
* Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and common construction/documentation platforms (e.g. ACC, Bluebeam, Aconex, Procore)
* Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
