Amazon Support Services Pty Ltd (Job ID: 10382800) is looking for a Network Development Engineer III (NDE) for the Data Center Life Cycle (DCLC) team within AWS Networking. The DCLC team owns the design and delivery of new network fabrics to refresh existing datacenters, as well as the logical decommissioning of obsolete networks.
Key Responsibilities
* Define the technical framework and metrics for DCLC programs such as DC Build, DC refresh, and Turndown, track them, and tune/optimize the processes when required.
* Collaborate with experienced cross‐disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, test, and execute the technical processes required to refresh the network of a data center and to turn down the network of a data center to be exited.
* Execute these processes in concrete projects and coordinate impacted network and infrastructure teams to ensure project success.
* Ensure operational excellence, namely that all activities are done safely with no impact to customer traffic.
* Define and implement automation required for the programs.
Basic Qualifications
* 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
* 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* 1+ year of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl.
