About the role The Asset Manager is a new role to our business giving you the opportunity to make this role truly your own. You’ll take a ground up approach to managing our clients’ assets — from asset inspections at site, planning and optimization through to renewal and replacement. You’ll work closely with Clients, Operations Teams, Projects Leads, Finance, and Supply Partners to create Strategic Asset Management Plans, aligned to client service outcomes, sustainability goals and future needs. This role plays a critical part in supporting our operational teams by turning asset data into insights, and insights into strategic investment decisions for our clients. What you will be responsible for Performing physical asset inspections and data capture activities at client sites across Australia Developing and maintaining asset strategies and lifecycle plans across client portfolios Partnering with Operations to priorities lifecycle programs and support business cases for CAPEX approval Collaborating with the Project Management Office to support planning, delivery, and post-project asset register updates project asset register updates‑project asset register updates Working with suppliers and technical specialists to identify fit for purpose replacement options, balancing performance, sustainability, innovation, and cost Developing asset and maintenance strategies and specifications, working with the Operation Support systems team to implement within the CMMS Monitoring asset performance, risk, and compliance, and recommending improvements Maintaining accurate asset registers, systems, and data to support reporting and decision making‑making Building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and partners What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone who combines technical understanding with strong communication and collaboration skills. You’ll likely have: A qualification in Building Construction, Engineering, Facilities Management, Asset Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field 5 years’ experience in facilities, asset, or maintenance environments (exact industry background is flexible) Experience creating or managing Strategic Asset Management Plans in accordance with ISO 55000 Experience using CMMS or asset management systems and translating data into insights Exposure to budgeting, lifecycle planning, or CAPEX project support A good understanding of WHS, compliance, and risk management in built environments The ability to work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders — technical and non‑technical A practical, solutions focused mindset with strong attention to detail focused mindset with strong attention to detail‑focused mindset with strong attention to detail Leadership experience is valued, but if you’re stepping into broader influence rather than formal line management, we’re open to that too.
