Our client is a leading international automotive manufacturer. We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Wire Harness Engineer to join their Product Development Division in Campbellfield, on a 12 months contract with a possibility of extension to another 3-4 years. This role will focus on the design, development, and release of high voltage wire harness systems for global vehicle platforms.
You will act as the key interface between engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, and program stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-quality systems on time. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next generation of electrified vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development and release of High Voltage wire harness systems for global vehicle programs.
* Manage suppliers and oversee wiring and component release.
* Ensure integration between engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to achieve program timing and quality targets.
* Conduct Pre-PS assessments, CRF assessments, and support cost target activities.
* Verify and design wire harness routing, retention, and components in line with HV EDS guidelines.
* Support CAD reviews, BOM validation, DVP testing, and engineering file reviews.
* Deliver on program milestones including UNV/UPV phases, FDJ deliverables, DPA checks and FEDE status.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical (or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years' relevant engineering experience (automotive or wire harness).
* Strong knowledge of high voltage wiring harness design, PDL process, and GPDS deliverables.
* Strong planning, organisation, and project management skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
* Highly proactive with strong problem-solving and issue-resolution capabilities.
