About the Role
Our client is a forward‐thinking, highly profitable private equity‐backed blue‐chip organization seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, executive leadership team and board to implement strategic direction and ensure financial health and stability locally and internationally. The role is based in Western Sydney and is part of the executive leadership team driving an exciting global growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Day‐to‐day management of the finance function.
* Lead and direct finance resources to maintain short and long‐term financial health.
* Identify and implement systems, policies, and processes to improve financial monitoring, reporting and accountability.
* Align financial strategy with organisational goals and contribute to strategic planning.
* Manage financial operations including payroll, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable.
* Prepare board reports and reporting packs.
* Provide financial and analytical support to the executive leadership team.
* Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and maintain effective communication.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
* CA or CPA qualification essential.
* MBA or tertiary qualification in accounting or business‐related subject preferred.
* 5‐10+ years of experience in a financial controlling role within commerce and industry or Senior Manager to Director level from Big‐4 or top 10 CA firm.
* Relevant industry experience in the services sector desired.
* Proven experience in financial and management reporting and system implementation.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables) and proficiency in the Microsoft suite.
* Experience managing a medium‐sized organisation's accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Self‐starter with exceptional attention to detail and a can‐do attitude.
* High level of emotional intelligence, reliability and trustworthiness.
* Strong critical thinking and problem‐solving abilities.
