About The Opportunity

To provide and maintain an effective accounts payable service while proactively leading and managing the Accounts Payable team. Working closely with Strategic Supply to ensure efficient processing of payments and minimise Councils risk of fraud.


About You

* Demonstrated high level knowledge and substantial experience in Finance Creditors or Accounts Payable including Corporate Purchase Card expense management.
* Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire strong knowledge in the application of Council work practices policies procedures and guidelines.
* Demonstrated experience in the use of complex financial information systems including maintenance of system integrity testing and implementation of information system upgrades.
* Demonstrated application of the Goods and Services Tax legislation
* Demonstrated experience in a role that requires strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and monitor workflows using a high level of initiative.
* High level of interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and present a customer focused approach to all stakeholders.
