Full-Stack Developer
Reach Game Studios is looking for a talented full-stack web developer to work on developing exciting new web presences across the studio portfolio: including game sites, backend web services infrastructure for our game titles, and corporate websites.
Responsibilities:
As a full-stack web developer you will be responsible for:
* Working with designers and management to scope and implement elegant frontend web designs, or own the visual identity for projects.
* Creating backend game services infrastructure to serve our game, web, and interface requirements.
* Implementing endpoints and APIs to communicate between our front-end infrastructure, our community developers, and our game infrastructure.
* Work with game designers and engineers to expand our web services infrastructure as game requirements evolve.
* Implementing feature sets as required by a range of departments, particularly working with dev ops and live ops teams to ensure operation continuity.
Requirements:
For this role we are looking for:
* An experienced front-end web developer with a demonstrated track record in effectively crafting responsive front-end web experiences.
* Knowledgable in web services development and endpoint development.
* A proven backend developer, including developing backend infrastructure, endpoints, and backend interfaces for internal use.
* High degree of practical and theoretical knowledge surrounding network and web security and a willingness to liaise and work with external partners to audit and ensure a high level of security across our web presences.
* Strong computer science fundamentals, including proficient across a number of languages and frameworks, data management and architecture.
* Proficient in C#, MVC Framework, Java, Javascript, NodeJS, C++, SQL, and a willingness to learn and interface with Unreal Engine for live game implementation.
* An understanding of online infrastructure, particularly surrounding live videogame web services.
Remuneration:
The position is currently a contract royalty-based position, with view to full-time employment post-launch. Contract amount is competitive and negotiable.
Location:
While we prioritize Australian/New Zealand applicants, we are a remote studio and consider international applications.
