The department is seeking an EL2 Procurement professional for a high-impact role at the heart of a globally significant initiative, leading strategic sourcing and commercial operations critical to the success of the event.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end delivery of procurement's, from planning to execution.
* Provide strategic leadership and direction to the procurement and contract management team.
* Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies and frameworks.
* Manage high-value contracts and ensure compliance with government procurement frameworks.
* Offer authoritative advice on complex, high-risk, or sensitive procurement matters.
* Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, legal, and probity advisers.
* Represent and promote the procurement function as a trusted centre of excellence.
* Contribute to the broader strategic and governance priorities of the Taskforce.
Experience and Skills Required
* Proven experience leading large-scale or complex procurement's within government or similar high-regulation environments.
* In-depth understanding of procurement legislation, frameworks, and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
* Strong leadership and team management experience, with a focus on performance and delivery.
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and high-profile environment.
* Advanced stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Experience overseeing contract performance, supplier governance, and risk management.
* A strategic mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
* Previous experience in event-related, infrastructure, or cross-agency programs (highly desirable).
