Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services while ensuring the utmost care for our patients.
Responsibilities:
• Interpret radiological requests and perform procedures in alignment with best practices and relevant legislation.
• Supervise fluoroscopy procedures conducted by licensed medical practitioners and assist radiologists during special procedures as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy, safety, and welfare throughout all examinations. Participate in the maintenance and quality assurance of imaging equipment, identifying and reporting any faults.
• Engage in continuous professional development to uphold registration with the relevant professional body.
• Support the supervision and development of students and other staff as per senior staff direction.
Requirements:
• A tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging and eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.
• Demonstrates a strong knowledge of radiographic principles and can adapt techniques to match various clinical situations, including trauma.
• Is highly aware of the importance of patient welfare, safety, and radiation protection procedures.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Can work autonomously while also being a collaborative team player.
• Has a proven ability to identify and diagnose simple imaging equipment issues.
