Hobart Podiatrists & Footwear is a busy, highly regarded and well equipped Podiatry practice located in a purpose designed property in Hobart, Tasmania.
The practice offers comprehensive Podiatry services, specializing in biomechanical assessment and treatment of foot, ankle, gait, and lower limb disorders for patients of all ages.
With an onsite retail footwear store, clients and visitors can access podiatry-approved, supportive, and orthotic-friendly footwear.
The team collaborates closely with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, Orthopaedic surgeons, Paediatricians, and Sports Physicians.
The practice is run by senior, AHPRA-registered Podiatrists who are active members of The Australian Podiatry Association.
Role Description
Due to ongoing demand to attend our service, we are seeking a clinician to join our team. This role can be between 2-4 days per week (with the option to grow the caseload further by the right candidate if desired) and is an on-site role for a Senior Podiatrist based in Tasmania, Australia.
The Senior Podiatrist will be responsible for providing high-quality care and treatment across a range of podiatric conditions, including assessments, diagnostics, and implementation of treatment plans.
This includes expertise in biomechanics, orthotic prescriptions, footwear advice and managing complex cases such as those related to lower limb injuries, developmental disorders, systemic disease affecting the lower limbs such as arthritis, diabetes, hypermobility etc and gait abnomalities in clients of all ages.
Qualifications
* Strong foundation in Podiatry, including knowledge of modern practices and techniques and the ability to practice across the broad spectrum of modern Podiatry
* Expertise in Biomechanics and Orthotics, with the ability to assess gait, prescribe orthotic solutions, and address foot and ankle disorders.
* A warm, friendly but professional demeanour with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and provide patient-centered care.
* Recognized qualification in Podiatry and current AHPRA registration.
* Dedication to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical and clinical guidelines.
* Previous experience in dry needling and footwear an advantage
