Job Title: Cardiac Care Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking applications from skilled Registered Nurses to join our multidisciplinary Cardiac Care Unit. This role requires a post-graduate qualification in critical care and recent clinical experience within Cardiac Care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, coordinating and supervising the delivery of care by junior staff and students within Critical Care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
* Demonstrate knowledge of legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledge accountability for own actions.
* Maintain harmonious interpersonal relationships and effective teamwork between staff, patients, relatives, doctors, and ancillary staff.
* Assist and collaborate with team members in the assessment of allocated patients.
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
* Communicate effectively with all members of the care team and report changes in patients' status to appropriate personnel.
* Initiate discharge planning on patients' admission to ensure appropriate use of all resources and prepare the patient/family for discharge.
Requirements:
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
* Post-graduate qualification in critical care and recent clinical experience within Cardiac Care.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to identify and solve problems.
