Role Overview
An opportunity has come up for a commercially minded Project Development Manager to support the expansion of a utility-scale renewable energy pipeline, with a focus on solar and battery storage projects. This position will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage origination through to development milestones and investment readiness.
Key Responsibilities Project Development Lifecycle
Lead early-stage project activities including site origination, feasibility assessment, and progression through development approvals.
Support the development of grid-scale battery projects, including consideration of technical, regulatory, and market participation factors.
Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including landholders, community groups, and relevant planning bodies.
Grid & Connection Process
Manage grid connection activities, including engagement with market bodies and network providers to progress connection approvals.
Contribute to business case development, project modelling, and overall commercial strategy to support investment decisions.
Cross-Regional Collaboration
Work closely with offshore stakeholders, providing insights into local market dynamics and ensuring alignment on development priorities.
Experience & Capability
* Demonstrated experience within the Australian renewable energy sector.
* Exposure to battery energy storage projects and understanding of associated development considerations.
* Track record of progressing projects through key development stages, including planning approvals.
* Strong stakeholder management and negotiation capability.
* Ability to communicate complex regulatory and commercial concepts in a clear and structured manner.
