Base Salary: $104,539 - $125,092 (p.a.)

Total Effective Package: $128,394 - $153,408 (p.a.)*

Full Time Continuous Contract

37.5 hours per week

About the role

The Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) Coordinator leads the Tackling Indigenous Smoking team in developing, promoting, implementing, and evaluating health promotion activities programs to prevent the uptake of smoking/vaping and to promote smoking/vaping cessation among Aboriginal people as per the funding agreement.

Essential Requirements

* Is of Aboriginal descent; identifies as an Aboriginal person; and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
* Diploma in Health Promotion or Public Health or recent relevant experience
* Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote location.
* Demonstrated experience in coordinating and leading a team
* Experience in developing and maintaining effective networks, alliances, and relationships with families, individuals, communities, and other health sector organisations.
* Demonstrated experience in coordinating and facilitating health program, events and activities within a community setting.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively develop, deliver, evaluate and report on projects and programs effectively.
* Demonstrated ability to use a computer and its applications to a high standard.
* Current NT Driver's License.
* Be a non‐smoker and a willingness to adhere to the Congress Smoke-Free Workplace Policy.
