AUD 120000 - 130000 per annum, + Super + Salary
DSY has partnered with an industry leading Western Australian non-profit to source a Senior Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information and the timely delivery of financial and statutory reporting. This opportunity would suit an experienced qualified Accountant with the ability to work autonomously covering financial accounting and reporting, taxation and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
* Finance lead for the month‐end process.
* Initiate and implement improvements to the month‐end process.
* Liaise with external auditors and lead the annual external audit.
* Preparation of consolidated financial statements.
* Prepare and contribute to Finance, Risk & Audit Committee papers.
* Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements and statutory reporting.
* Supervise the Financial Accountant, Accounts Payables/Receivables Clerks including coaching and development.
Key Requirements
* CA/CPA qualified or International equivalent.
* 3 years+ experience at Accountant level.
* Strong technical accounting experience and skill set with audit training background preferred.
* Previous team lead / staff management experience.
* Experience of working with external auditors through the annual external audit process.
* Well‐developed and effective communication skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
