Position: Senior Contracts Officer – HSU Level 6
DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Officer to engage on a temporary contract with a State Government agency based in Murdoch 0.
Start Date: ASAP
Length of Assignment: 3 months with the possibility of extension.
Location: Murdoch 0.
Pay Rate: $. per hour (HSU Level 6)
Role Overview: As a Senior Contracts Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, procurement, and management of contracts in alignment with organisational, government, and health service objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract development and management, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage contract and tender documentation
2. Participate in or manage contract development projects
3. Review and monitor health contracts for compliance and performance
4. Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
5. Prepare reports and recommendations related to contractor performance
6. Coordinate submissions, discussion papers, and reports for programs
Qualifications and Experience:
7. Substantial experience in developing, procuring, and managing medium to high-risk contracts
8. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical documents
10. Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with stakeholders
11. Experience in coordinating projects, procurements, and commercial contract management
12. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
13. Proficiency in MS Office suite and advanced capabilities
Additional Requirements:
14. Completion of mandatory training related to safety and quality
15. Availability to undertake research and policy analysis as required
16. Effective liaison with senior officers and external stakeholders
17. Ability to draft and prepare ministerial correspondence and reports
18. Representation of the SMHS Contract Management on committees and working groups as directed
