We are a fast-growing business operating in the renewable energy industry. With multiple entities and plenty of activity, we're building a small, high-performing finance team to support the next phase of growth.
We're now looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day numbers and keep everything running smoothly.
The opportunity
This role can be full time or part time (3–5 days per week) and would suit someone looking for flexibility while still playing a key role in the business.
Working closely with the Finance Manager and broader team, you'll manage bookkeeping across several entities, including:
* Accounts payable & receivable – invoice entry, coding and payment runs
* Bank, credit card and loan reconciliations
* Payroll support – timesheets, new starters/leavers, leave, super uploads
* Maintaining accurate supplier and customer records
* Assisting with BAS/IAS preparation, payroll tax and other compliance
* Supporting month-end – journals, accruals, prepayments
* General finance administration and tidy, well-kept ledgers in Xero
About you
You're organised, hands-on and comfortable owning the day-to-day accounts. You will ideally bring:
* 2–5+ years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role
* Strong working knowledge of Xero (or similar cloud accounting software)
* Good understanding of GST, BAS and payroll fundamentals
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Clear communication skills and a willingness to pick up the phone
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and work autonomously
* Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting (or similar) is highly regarded
