Job Description
THE TRUSTEE FOR NICON UNIT TRUST Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and delivering high-quality meals in line with our menu and standards.
Key Responsibilities Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes as per the café menu, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation Assisting in menu planning and suggesting improvements based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Monitoring food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and efficiency Ensuring all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations Managing stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients Inspecting kitchen equipment and reporting any maintenance requirements Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times Skills and Requirements Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience At least 1–2 years of relevant work experience as a Cook Sound knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational and time management skills Team player with good communication skills Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
