NDY Section Manager – Fire Safety Engineering, MelbourneAs the Section Manager within the Fire Engineering Global Specialist Group, you'll play a key role in leading our Fire Engineering team in Victoria as well contributing to the National and Global fire engineering group.
You will cultivate client relationship and oversee the team in delivering projects and resource allocation throughout project delivery.
Collaboration across NDY's global network of fire engineers and other Tetra Tech businesses will be central to your success.You will lead the fire engineering team in Melbourne, in creating a collaborative and high-performance environment, delivering high-quality fire safety solutions, and staff.Provide leadership and mentorship to the fire engineering team in MelbourneOversee the design and delivery of innovative fire safety engineering solutions across diverse projectsCollaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated fire safety strategiesEnsure all work complies with local, state, and national codes, standards, and best practicesManage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful outcomesConduct technical reviews and offer expert guidance on complex fire engineering challengesPromote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within the teamBuild and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met or exceededPrepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation for stakeholdersAbout YouBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related disciplinePostgraduate Diploma or Masters in Fire EngineeringChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)Demonstrated experience in fire engineering design and project management, ideally within a consultancy environmentIn-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworksStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teamsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
