An exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join a Federal Government Department
**Your new company**
This Federal Government Department is responsible for delivering a range of grants and funding programs to support various sectors and initiatives across Australia. The Department is seeking an experienced and motivated Grants Officer to join their team for a 6-month contract, with a possibility of extension.
**Your new role**
- Quality check grant offer documents and provide clear advice to Round Coordinators on errors and discrepancies between sources.
- Support the grant approval and execution process by providing clear recommendations to the delegate.
- Assisting with agreements and accompanying documentation (e.g. cover letters, terms and conditions, and supplementary terms and conditions)
- Receive and process signed agreements, Deeds of Variation, Notices of Change, Deeds of Novation and Deeds of Termination and release of payments where relevant.
- Finalise requests and documents, post sign off by the delegate and ensure these are sent to the correct grant recipient and relevant Funding Arrangement Manager (FAM), including saving these on the relevant corporate systems.
- Maintain workload databases to provide internal and external reporting and inform future projections
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar grants administration or management role within the public sector
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant systems and databases
- A current Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain one
