Crowne Plaza Canberra is looking for a Guest Service Agent to join our team. As a Guest Service Agent, you will play a key role in enhancing our guests' experience, including check-in and check-out, upselling, problem resolution, guest recognition, and assisting with guest requests. Your ability to deliver a seamless and memorable Crowne Plaza Canberra experience will make you an essential member of the Front Office team.
This is a full-time role suitable for candidates with previous experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.
Your day-to-day activities include: Helping guests with their needs, such as providing toiletries or directions. Maintaining a professional appearance by wearing your uniform and adhering to grooming policies. Communicating regularly with team members and other departments to foster good relations and engagement. Greeting guests warmly, recognizing regular guests and IHG Rewards Club members, and ensuring a positive arrival experience. Handling guest complaints and providing service recovery, referring issues to the Duty Manager when necessary. Processing check-in and check-out procedures, including cashiering and guest account management. Being knowledgeable about the hotel and local surroundings to make helpful recommendations. Using safety and emergency equipment as directed and following safety procedures. Understanding our products and services, such as rooms, packages, and parking options, to effectively communicate with guests. Qualifications and skills we seek: Excellent personal presentation and positive attitude. Proven skills in guest relations, problem-solving, and time management; experience with hotel property management systems like Opera is a plus. Previous Front Office or Reception experience in a luxury environment focused on attentive guest service. Team player who collaborates across departments to deliver exceptional service. Attention to detail to create memorable guest experiences. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Legal right to work in Australia.
