Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum development for science and oversee the science department (Physics, Chemistry and Biology).
- Drive innovative, evidence-based and impactful science education across Year 7 to Year 12.
- Foster a culture of inquiry, collaboration and high academic achievement.
- Supervise and collaborate with a team of science teachers and support staff.
- Engage with students, families and the wider school community to promote science education and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong curriculum and science department leadership skills.
- Strong disciplinary and pedagogical knowledge across sciences.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme well regarded.
- Ability to effectively work and build meaningful relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
- Dedication to integrity, reliability, sound judgement, service and risk adversity.
- Tertiary qualifications.
- Teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) and current First Aid certification.
- Physical fitness to work across a vibrant campus and perform manual handling tasks.
