About the role
Murrin Murrin Operations employs more than 1,000 people across mining, processing and support services, making it one of the largest integrated nickel operations in Australia. Operating a large open pit mining fleet alongside a technically complex processing facility presents a diverse range of safety and occupational hygiene challenges.
Working a FIFO 8/6 roster on site, Graduates entering the health, hygiene and safety discipline at Murrin Murrin will gain practical exposure to managing risk across heavy mining equipment, chemical processing environments and large-scale industrial operations. Working with experienced safety professionals, graduates will assist in identifying hazards, implementing controls and supporting operational teams to maintain a strong safety culture across the site.
This provides a unique opportunity to develop practical safety leadership capability within a large and technically complex mining operation. The program commences in February 2027.
About You
* Qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Science, Health, Environmental Health or similar discipline (prior to commencement)
* Strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in high-risk work environments
* Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence across all levels of an organisation
* High level of computer literacy, including reporting systems and data analysis tools
* Exhibit attention to detail, initiative and a willingness to learn and develop
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
* Willingness and ability to work in a remote FIFO environment
