Your new role
As the Financial Controller, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee the organisation's financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, audit, treasury, and compliance. This pivotal role involves working closely with the Executive Team, Board, and key stakeholders to ensure financial excellence and strategic growth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Full-function financial accounting and reporting, cost accounting/operations finance, financial planning and analytics, and tax for Australia and New Zealand.
* Leading and mentoring a medium-sized finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration (2 direct reports and 15 indirect reports).
* Developing comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes, including long-term financial planning to support strategic initiatives.
* Partnering with six divisions to provide insights through data analytics, enhancing accountability and financial performance.
* Supervising financial processes such as payments, payroll, banking, and fixed assets.
* Managing cash flow, financing, capital raising, and covenant compliance.
* Maintaining robust financial controls, risk mitigation strategies, and policy governance within SAP systems.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be passionate about the organisation's mission and aligned with its core values. A thorough understanding of the manufacturing industry and FX skills is essential. You must hold CA/CPA membership (or equivalent) and demonstrate the ability to influence executive decisions through financial insights. A deep understanding of compliance, accounting standards, and financial reporting, along with exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, is required.
In return, you will receive an attractive annual salary in the range of $180,000 - $220,000 plus superannuation, with opportunities for additional shares and year-end bonuses. The role offers work-from-home flexibility and the chance to work with a growing, dynamic finance team.
