The Role
As an Underground Mining Engineer at Cowal Gold Operation, you will play a key role in supporting our expanding underground operations. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, your responsibilities will include generating mine designs and schedules that drive safe and efficient production outcomes.
This is a residential or DIDO opportunity on an 8:6 roster, working 12-hour shifts. You will be part of a collaborative and growing team, contributing to a site increasing production from 2.0 Mt to 2.4 Mt. With exposure to multiple mining disciplines and a strong focus on continuous improvement, this role offers excellent development opportunities in a supportive environment.

About You
As a motivated and safety-conscious Mining Engineer, you will possess a passion for underground operations and a desire to grow your career in a dynamic environment. To succeed in this role, you should bring:
* A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
* 2-5 years' experience in underground mining (startup experience advantageous)
* Familiarity with NSW regulatory frameworks and risk management practices
* Proficiency in mine design software, ideally Deswik CAD and Interactive Scheduler
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
