Financial Operations Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our part-time team and support the financial operations of our business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in accounting, finance administration, or bookkeeping to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely invoicing and follow-ups
* Maintain and reconcile financial records across platforms including Xero
* Assist with payroll processing, superannuation, and employee expense reimbursements
* Prepare and support month-end financial reports and assist with budgeting
* Work closely with external accountants to ensure compliance and accurate financial lodgements
* Contribute to the improvement of finance systems and reporting workflows
* Maintain a high level of data integrity and attention to detail across all financial processes
* Create and deliver ongoing business analytics
* Create and deliver process improvements and automation with the business
* Manage procurement negotiations and processes
Requirements
* 2+ years experience in accounting, finance administration, or bookkeeping
* Proficiency with Xero (or similar accounting software)
* Strong Excel and general digital literacy skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A high level of attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently
* Understanding of payroll, BAS, and GST requirements (preferred but not essential)
* Prior experience in a small business, startup, or professional services environment (a bonus)
