Job Summary
The Process Control Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development, maintenance and optimization of instrumentation and control systems across the plant. This includes ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and Improve Engineering Solutions
* Review and improve process control strategies to maximize system performance.
* PID tuning for optimal results.
* Alarm rationalization for streamlined operations.
* Software updates and patches for control systems.
* Effective reporting and documentation.
* Maintenance and configuration of instrumentation and related infrastructure.
* Implementation of changes according to management protocols.
* Commissioning and setup of VSDs, DOLs, network switches, instrumentation and other equipment.
* Asset analysis and predictive maintenance planning.
* Risk assessment and mitigation using enterprise risk framework policies and procedures.
* Participation in fault finding and failure investigations with subsequent rectification work.
* Staying up-to-date on control system developments and advancements.
* Guidance and mentorship of electrical technicians within the control and instrumentation environment.
