Systems Administrator - Contract | Queensland Mine Site Your new company A leading organisation in the resources sector is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join their IT team on-site at a Queensland mine site.
This is a short-term contract with the potential for ongoing ad hoc work. Your new role You will provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues across infrastructure, storage, backups, and Microsoft 365 services.
This is a proactive, hands-on role requiring technical depth, meticulous troubleshooting skills, and a passion for documentation. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining and monitoring on-premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments, ensuring integration, synchronisation, and security compliance.
Managing Microsoft 365 services with a focus on advanced SharePoint Online administration (permissions, site content management, compliance). Supporting Nutanix storage environments and Veeam backup/recovery solutions. Collaborating closely with the IT Service Desk to resolve complex technical issues.
What you'll need to succeed Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience supporting: Nutanix storage environments
Azure Active Directory Microsoft 365 (including advanced SharePoint Online administration) Veeam backup and recovery solutions
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Safety-first mindset and ability to manage competing priorities. Proactive approach to automation and process improvement.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. What you'll get in return Initial 3-4-month contract commencing on or after 5th January.
