About the Role
The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving nourishing meals for residents following food safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in daily food preparation and presentation to ensure excellent quality and resident satisfaction.
* Meet special dietary requirements specified by dietician, speech therapist or clinical care team.
* Report stock requirements to Chef Supervisor for ordering.
* Implement, deliver and monitor food safety program in partnership with Chef Supervisor.
* Support catering staff in maintaining a clean work environment and promoting safe practices.
* Plan and carry out daily workload in an organised and professional manner.
Essential Requirements:
* Food Handling Certificate.
* Certificate relevant to the role (e.g. Certificate III Hospitality – Commercial Cookery).
* Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
* Experience in residential aged care.
* Experience in Hospitality.
