$42.79 per hour, including casual loading

MSS is a multi-service not-for-profit with a mission to enhance the quality of people's lives by providing services which enable them to live with dignity and respect.
MSS has opportunities for casual Home Support Workers in the Taree, Great Lakes and surrounds areas to assist our home-based aged care clients to remain independent and supported.
Our Home Support Workers provide our clients with assistance in daily life activities such as domestic assistance, personal care, social support and respite, both within their homes and within the community.
Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Certificate IIIin Individual Support - Aged Care, or equivalent industry qualification
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
Current NSW provisional or full driver's license
Reliable motor vehicle (including valid NSW registration and minimum third-party property damage insurance)
Adequate level of fitness: due to the quantity of domestic assistance, which includes manual handling, candidates who pass the interview stage are required to attend a pre-employment fitness assessment, which MSS will arrange and pay for
Personal Attributes:
Ability to communicate sensitively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
Understanding of safe work practices and the use of appropriatemanual handling techniques
Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills
Commitment to maintaining the privacy andconfidentiality of our clients
