Plumber Job Overview
Job Description:
A Plumber is responsible for diagnosing and repairing residential and commercial plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas lines. The right candidate will have experience in commercial and/or residential plumbing, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
* Installs pipes into new construction projects.
* Assembles pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic, solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
* Installs pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
* Maintains records of work assignments.
* Fills pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
* Maintains or repairs plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
* Measures, cuts, threads, or bends pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines.
* Completes all required paperwork related to service calls including invoices and billing.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; two or more years of commercial and/or residential plumbing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in personal computer skills is also necessary.

Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license is required. Ability to pass an MVR check and travel locally 70% - 90% of the time.
