Financial Controller & Manage r (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Forge Plumbing is entering its next phase of growth — and we're looking for a commercially strong Financial Controller to take full ownership of our finance function.
We are open to part-time or full-time.
Established in 2017, Forge exists to see plumbers win. We supply plumbing products direct to licensed contractors and have built strong momentum through service, trust, and performance. Now we are investing in the infrastructure required to scale properly — and finance is a critical pillar of that.
The Role
This is not a transactional bookkeeping role.
You will own and control the financial performance, reporting, and forward planning of the business.
* Monthly management reporting with clear commercial insights
* Cashflow forecasting and working capital control
* Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
* Margin, pricing, and inventory performance analysis
* Building scalable financial systems and internal controls
* Compliance oversight (BAS, payroll tax, super, ATO)
* Partnering with leadership to support growth decisions
You will work directly with the business owners and play a key role in shaping Forge's next stage.
Who We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader
* Strong commercial mindset — you think beyond compliance
* Experience in wholesale, trade, distribution or inventory-based businesses highly regarded
* Comfortable in a growing SME environment
* High ownership, strong integrity, and systems thinking
* Confident building structure and clarity around financial performance
