Randstad is seeking a qualified and experienced maintenance trades person to join our client in the southern suburbs!
Key Duties
* undertake general maintenance of all school buildings, properties and grounds.
* undertake minor renovations to school buildings including classrooms, offices, boarding and residential properties.
* repair furniture and fittings and undertake small furniture manufacture or fabrication.
* undertake minor building project construction.
* relieve and assist other members of the Building and Grounds Department.
* assist in the set-up of school functions, meetings and classrooms.
Successful Candidates will have:
* experience working across multiple trades.
* demonstrated experience in carpentry or a similar industry.
* demonstrated knowledge of relevant WHS issues
* strong and clear communication skills
* solutions-focussed, positive and collaborative approach
* willingness and ability to undertake the moderate physical demands of the position
* basic computer literacy
* current Working with Children Check and driver’s licence
* current or willingness to obtain Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (previously Reporting Abuse and Neglect) Training certification and First Aid qualifications.
