You will be joining a leading national financial services company as a Senior Employment Lawyer on a 12 month fixed term contract based in Sydney or Melbourne.

About the Role 
Responsibilities include: 
- Advise on a wide range of employment law and employee relations matters, including litigation, regulatory issues, policy development and complex case management. 
- Partner with HR leaders, executives, and external advisors to deliver high-quality, pragmatic legal solutions that support business objectives. 
- Lead the management of significant employment disputes, including representing the organisation in tribunals and courts, and overseeing external counsel where required. 
- Contribute to key projects, transactions, and strategic initiatives with employment law implications. 
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the HR community, senior stakeholders, and external partners. 
About You 
You have: 
- Substantial experience in employment law, either in private practice or in-house. 
- A strong track record managing employment disputes and advising on complex legal issues. 
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills. 
- The ability to balance technical legal expertise with practical, solutions-focused advice. 
- A collaborative style and growth mindset, with a desire to learn, share knowledge and support others.
