What You'll Be Doing In This Role
In this role, you will assist with everyday dispensing and facilitate the provision of medications to patients within the hospital and the broader community. You will be part of the dispensary team and work with other technicians, assistants and pharmacists. You will be supported by the Lead Technician, Lead Dispensary Pharmacist and the greater team, who will provide you all the support, mentorship and training you need to succeed.
Responsibilities
* Dispensing PBS & non‑PBS medication under the supervision of pharmacists.
* Liaising with Doctors, Nurses, and Allied health colleagues to optimise patient health outcomes.
* Helping patients with their medications and general healthcare needs.
* Assisting with stocktake and stock management.
* Contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement.
Who We Are Looking For
* Previous hospital or community pharmacy experience, with a passion for pharmacy.
* Certificate III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (or equivalent) – not essential.
* Self‑motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills, strong attention to detail and exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
* Enjoy working in a busy environment, strong sense of teamwork and ability to work well under minimal supervision.
* Desire to learn and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.
* Ability to participate in a rotating roster that involves evenings and weekends.
* Proven experience working within a dynamic, fast‑paced, collaborative team environment.
