Director of Energy Transition
This pivotal role supports the delivery of safe, secure, and reliable electricity and gas supply through the energy transition.
The Director leads stewardship and reform of NSW's economic, competition, safety, and technical policy frameworks for electricity networks and gas and fuel pipelines.
* Lead stewardship and reform of policy frameworks.
* Provide expert advice to inform NSW positions on national energy reforms.
* Deliver government interventions to support priority infrastructure projects.
* Oversee high-performing teams managing legislation, regulation, and implementation of network and pipeline policy.
* Represent NSW in national forums and coordinate policy direction with key partners.
* Drive reforms in transmission planning, contestability, licensing, and access arrangements.
* Modernise safety and technical regulatory frameworks to align with future infrastructure needs.
* Monitor and advise on revenue determinations, cost recovery mechanisms, and regulatory incentive schemes.
Key Requirements:
* Strategic leadership experience in the energy sector.
* Background within electricity or gas supply infrastructure development, strategy, or regulatory affairs.
* Proven ability to manage large teams and complex portfolios.
* Direct experience in network or pipeline development, energy policy, or project delivery.
