Position: Chef
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time

Your Role & Responsibilities
As Chef, you will:
· Develop menus that suit our diverse offering — breakfasts, brunch, pasta, burgers, lamb shanks, sea foods, fusion mains, and more.
· Assist with food-cost and labour-cost planning, maintaining balance between quality and affordability.
· Order and manage food supplies to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
· Prepare and cook dishes — ensuring meals meet our standards from prep through presentation.
· Oversee the cooking process and plating to maintain consistent taste and quality across all meals.
· Work with management, staff, and kitchen team to address food-preparation issues, ensure smooth service, and maintain a collaborative atmosphere.
· Demonstrate cooking techniques and guide kitchen staff on proper cooking procedures and plating standards.
· Enforce hygiene, food safety, and kitchen sanitation rules at all times.
· If needed: assist in staff selection, training, and support — helping new kitchen team members adapt and maintain standards.
· Occasionally oversee freezing or preserving food for future use, to manage inventory and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
· Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery (Preferred but not mandatory)
· Diploma of Hospitality Management (Preferred but not mandatory)
Skills and Experience:
· Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef or relevant to the role
· Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of food quality.
· Strong attention to detail, especially in food presentation.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a busy environment.
· A passion for cooking and providing an exceptional customer dining experience.
