The Nelson Tasman Community Transport Trust (NTCTT) is a community‐led organisation providing affordable and accessible transport services across the Nelson Tasman region, particularly for people in rural or isolated areas. The Trust works closely with local councils, volunteers, and community groups to improve mobility, reduce isolation, and support sustainable transport solutions.
We are seeking a Volunteer Administrative Assistant / Project Support to support our growing operations. This role is ideal for students or individuals starting their careers who want to gain hands‐on experience in administration and community project work.
Key Duties
* Assist with organising and maintaining digital and paper‐based files
* Provide general administrative and back‐end support
* Use tools such as Google Docs, Excel, and spreadsheets
* Support communication and coordination with stakeholders and volunteers
* Assist board members and the Project Coordinator with day‐to‐day tasks
Skills and Experience
* No prior experience required full guidance and training provided
* Basic computer skills and willingness to learn
* Good organisational and time management abilities
* Strong communication and teamwork skills

Time Required
This is a flexible, part‐time volunteer role designed to fit around your study or work schedule. Volunteers typically contribute around 57 hours per week; this can be more or less, depending on your availability. Days and times are arranged to suit your schedule. Work can be completed on a hybrid basis, with a mix of remote tasks and occasional in‐person support as needed.
Training
No prior work experience is required. Basic guidance, support, and on‐the‐job training will be provided to help you learn the role and develop your skills with confidence.
