Service Planner – General Construction Branch

We're looking for an experienced and team-focused Service Planner to join our team in Tomago. If you're highly organised, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy coordinating people and resources, this is your chance to make a real impact.
In this Monday-to-Friday role, you will be the key link between our customers and our field service team. Your primary responsibility will be planning and scheduling service jobs to minimise machine downtime and optimise resource allocation. Working closely with supervisors and technicians, you will ensure every job is prioritised effectively based on urgency, location, and expertise.
As the main point of contact for customers, you'll provide timely updates, resolve enquiries, and deliver a seamless service experience. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities will be critical in maintaining smooth workflows and driving operational success.
What You'll Do
* Coordinate and schedule field service work, planning technicians' daily workloads.
* Act as the direct point of contact for customers—handling calls, booking services, and providing updates.
* Manage work orders from start to finish, ensuring accurate records and compliance.
* Schedule machines for maintenance.
* Monitor progress and collaborate with supervisors to optimise resource allocation.
* Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance at all times.
What We're Looking For

* Proactive problem-solving and a collaborative approach.
* Demonstrated experience within a project management or estimating role
* Familiarity with Caterpillar products (desirable)
* Ability to problem solve whilst having well-developed analytical & decision-making abilities
* Computer literacy skills – MS Office
