Healthcare Professional Role Overview
This position involves providing expert health services to students and job seekers. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, identifying and addressing barriers to academic and employment success, and working collaboratively with external agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver individualised counselling sessions, including assessment, case formulation, and intervention planning.
* Support students and job seekers in achieving their educational and vocational goals by removing obstacles and addressing factors that may negatively impact their academic and employment success.
* Identify, report, and offer counselling and follow-up support in response to student protection and risk management concerns.
* Assess the immediate risk level of students in crisis and provide appropriate crisis interventions, including referrals to acute services when necessary.
* Liaise and work in partnership with external agencies to ensure students, caregivers, and job seekers receive suitable support.
* Collaborate with school staff to implement individual intervention plans and provide direct input where needed.
* Work with Employment staff regarding case management and return to work of Jobseekers.
