GPO Eat Talk Drink is a well-established venue in the heart of Bendigo, known for great food, quality drinks and vibrant events. We're looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Bar Manager / Functions Coordinator to join our leadership team.
This is a hands-on leadership role designed for someone who enjoys service excellence and the commercial side of hospitality. You'll work closely with the Venue Manager and ownership to help deliver strong shifts while actively supporting bar trade, events and functions.
You're not just running shifts — you're helping grow bar trade, events and functions.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for:
* Leading FOH and bar shifts to a high standard
* Acting as manager-on-duty on nominated shifts
* Running bar operations, cocktails and beverage service
* Supporting the coordination and delivery of functions and events
* Actively promoting upcoming events, functions and bar activations during service
* Briefing and motivating staff to drive bar trade and guest engagement
* Delivering warm, professional guest experiences every shift
About You
You'll bring:
* Experience in hospitality leadership or bar management
* Strong service skills with a commercial mindset
* Confidence engaging guests about events, functions and offerings
* The ability to lead calmly during busy services
* Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
