Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Trading Operations Engineer to join one of our trading teams in Sydney.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring high-volume live trading and portfolio risk
* Contributing to the automated trading operations codebase
* Managing ongoing projects with various Tower support teams
* Coordinating software and hardware upgrades
* Applying programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operations
* Resolving discrepancies with trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
* 3+ years of professional experience in a related field
* Strong software development skills in Python
* Working knowledge of Linux operating system
* Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data-driven strategic decisions
* Strong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applications
* Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments
* Ability to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real-time systems with minimal guidance
* Capacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a team
* Strong understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical concepts
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving abilities
